Beyond collectible this rare sterling vermeil Trifari pin was made between 1942-45 when other metals were being used for war purposes. This pin was designed by the famous Alfred Philippe as part of the designer's military insignia series. It features a pair of crossed cannons and center shield, which is the insignia for the Coast Artillery branch of the armed forces. The pin is decorated in rhinestones and glass cabochons with a red enamel center. This pin is in nice condition! Some missing stones and minimal wear to the vermeil and enamel.
