    Description

    Douglas A-26 Invader Exhaust Collector
One aircraft exhaust collector segment for the Douglas A-26 "Invader" bomber.
    If I recall correctly this
    P/N is 11-260-1
    and typically stamped
    ASSY SOLAR
I can't see any specific markings on this one.
Came to us in a rather large inventory acquired recently of take-off Invader parts.
Good used condition. Perfect welds. No heavy rust. No flaking. No thin hot spot areas. No cracks or damage visible. We'd just taken a hose to it to knock off the dirt and evict a few cranky spiders hiding inside. It came directly from an aerial applicator's spares pile here in AZ.  There's still a clamp assembly on one end. Note the piece of plastic inside one of the "fingers" - this had been capped at one time.
This one's a little ugly from outdoor storage but 15 minutes in the bead blast cabinet will pretty it up and it's ready for inspection and duty slapped back on your Dash -79.
Heavy. Ships best FedEx Ground as a cost savings. Need others? We've got enough for a couple of engine sets. Building an Invader? PM with your "wants list" and we'll start filling it.
    Wh
at you see in the photo series is representative what you get.  Ships cheapest FedEx unless you direct otherwise.
Effective 01 December 2018: No sales of WWII military aircraft parts of ANY kind to Australia via USPS labeled as such. We love our AU customers and their projects, but due to our screwed up US Customs officials and continued confiscation and destruction of vintage military hardware, no more. We're now reluctant to move anything across the ocean unless we're specifically dealing with a freight forwarder who'll assume responsibility and act as third-party. That comes at additional cost above and beyond eBay shipping. Sadly, our Customs people as assigned to US Postal Service seem to provide a most-liberal interpretation of "Restricted Export / Import items" and after repeated losses this year of gear, we've pulled the plug on through-the-mail sales to AU. Wave the middle finger at US Customs, and not us, as we're sad to have to have come to this point.
