Vintage - WWII British ATS Beret Badge - Brass

Vintage - WWII British ATS Beret Badge - Brass.  This is a beret badge for the Auxiliary Territorial Service.  I collect US Militaria and this item was included in a collection I bought years ago.  I am not that familiar with foreign badges, so I hope you know what this is better than I can describe it.  It is the standard size and made of brass.  I have never tried to clean it, so if you see minute deposits of cleaning material I think its remnants of possible use of Brasso.
