Although exact age of this SALVATION ARMY FOOD DONATION bag is unknown, it's amazing that ANYTHING made from paper would survive for many decades!  A wonderful real photo of a Salvation Army worker sitting with a small child below their slogan

is heartwarming.  The words 'OVER PLEASE' are printed extreme lower right-hand corner. There, the recipient can read A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT.....under which there is a space for the signature of the worker.  The last statement rings so true today, especially after this last year. It reads:
This gift of food from The Salvation Army's pantry is made possible only through the support of people who care.
The bag is quite small measuring only 5" x 9 1/2", but it's purpose was large!
