Vintage original 1956 Raleigh Triumph bicycle Dealer Reference Catalog

Description

This was a fancy catalog for dealers to show to customers, with a hardbound leatherette cover and looseleaf pages. There are 16 introductory pages covering Raleigh Industries in general, including features, locations, and the payment plan, and then separate sections for the different Raleigh brands that dealer sold -- here just Triumph, "The bicycle with science behind it". The pages with the illustrations are high quality stock with superb printing, and then the intervening pages with the model specs are thinner tissue paper. I count 32 more pages with about 15 bike models, many pairs of male and female versions. Most is in good shape, but this was well used -- looks like lots of greasy fingers turned the pages and there are prices and other writing on some. You can see damage around the edges of the cover, and the lettering on the front is worn, but it is still pretty good looking and quite solid. The last few pages are more damaged with lots of tears and creasing -- all the worst pages are shown in the scans. However, most pages are quite nice, and the colors throughout are still very vibrant -- check out the Warwick, with Dry Battery Unit, pump, and headlight matching the frame color. I think it is a total of 48 pages, 10 3/4 x 8 inches each, and the covers are 11.5 x 8.5".
