Got this at an estate sale.
Maruhon Ware
was primarily a dinnerware and ceramics company. Most of their items leaned on the side of "novelty". They're more known for those, but they did some straightforward dinnerware, vases, urns, etc. They even had some 'capodimonte-style' and 'beleek knock offs'.
They were in business from about the 1920s to 1950s. The polar bear figurine is one of the more "traditional" home décor pieces they made. It should date to about the 30s.
It's looks great and is
in very good condition with no chips or cracks, no repairs
. It just has an amount of crazing that's common with a piece that old.
