US Army Matched Pair WW1 M1902 Ordnance Officer's Silver Shirt Collar Devices

Up for auction is a matched pair of original, First World War period M1902 US Army Ordnance officer's silver-plated shirt collar devices, with wire fasteners on the reverse side. This is a miniature version for wear on the olive green shirt. The badge is a stamped one-piece design with three welded wires for attaching to the collar. There are no hallmarks. Despite the lack of markings, I am inclined to believe these are Sterling plated as they are tarnished on the front, just as silverplate would be. The pair are in very good condition and come out of an old collection. Actual measurements are 25mm height and 16mm wide.
