Our Samian Bowl with Hare & Hounds is decorated with reliefs of Mercury holding his caduceus on the left hand, the Roman god of commerce, messages, travelers, luck, and trickery. The floral and geometric patterns are of exquisite beauty and help separating and ordering the different relieves on the pottery. The Drangendorff classification of this Samian bowl is number 37. Our Roman potteries are 100% handmade and are manufactured just like in the Roman era. We use a natural slip that results in a very soft touch.
