Description
Turn-of-the-20th-Century Plains Parfleche Bag6.5" x 7.5". Sinew sewn. The paint is still very vibrant.
The cowhide is sinew sewn. This bag is in fair condition. There is significant bead-loss, surface wear, areas of staining, and a missing leather tassel.
Acquired this from the William Johnston, Jr. collection. Johnston was a geologist who collected Native American art and artifacts through his work in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.
