    Description

    Crow style pair of Parfleche.
I Purchased this set of Crow style parfleche from
Lucas Snyder at "The Collectors Alley"
here on Ebay. See listing photo. I was a bit skeptical at first so I asked him questions about its age. He was adamant that his assessment of circa 1910 was correct and that "no way are they new" and stood behind that. Please see his listing in the photo session. So I did the buy it now with instant cash of 95.00. On arrival I still had thought something was not correct. The colors had been enhanced in the listing and were not the same in hand. It took a bit to research them and tracked it down. I took them to Santa FE at Indian Market and had several leading dealers and restorers look at them. Though my network of Atada dealers and leading craftsperson's I was eventually led to Bill and Kathy Brewer. The Brewers are exceptional artists and own up to their work. They sign their pieces with a "BKB", photograph and date in a log book for verification. The signature was removed on these. Bill's statement is shown in the photos section. I respect them for working with the dealer community in doing so. Their artwork is phenomenal.
    I informed
Lucas Snyder at "The Collectors Alley"
and made several communications with proof of my findings. That communication has been one way as he will give no response and refuses to make his mistake right. This has cost me over 00.00 with taxes. His website thecollectorsalley.com say's objects are guaranteed authentic, but not the case folks.
So...I am offering this fantastic pair of Crow style parfleche crafted by the renowned Bill and Kathy Brewer. They are great examples historical correct and would make a great addition to you log home decor at a fraction of the cost of a pair like Don Siegel had in his add in photo section.
I would strongly suggest that serious buyers use reputable dealers that stand behind what they sell. I did not get that on this one.
This is why ATADA, Antique Tribal Arts Dealers Ass. was formed to put integrity into the business as members have bylaws to follow.
Particular, be in integrity and stand behind your objects. Visit the ATADA website for a list of honest dealers.
