Offered is new
old stock of the British War Medal 1939-45 ribbon.
The ribbon is
precut in 5 1/2 "
. This ribbon came with the medal when it was issued to the soldier. As a rule, British medals were not awarded mounted with the ribbon. The soldier would take all of his award to the tailor shop and have them mounted as a group. Seldom were medals worn as singles as in the U.S.
The ribbon is pre-cut is pre-cut n 5.5" sections. It is
original WWII ribbon and not new replacement
. I've had this stock for over 30 years.
