A scarce original pre-1941 silvered brass badge with pale blue enamel circlet inscribed "Forewarned is Forearmed Observer Corps" the centre depicting an Elizabethan coast watcher holding a flaming torch and scanning the horizon, the reverse with maker's mark

. Very fine condition; this example retains its original buttonhole fitting, some light wear to the plating, enamel intact. Diameter 27mm.
