    Description

Inthis listing we have a really lovely partial collector Ken outfit. This is from the first wave BMR1959 dolls, the darker skinned Kendoll. This outfit is designed for the new Made to Move Ken doll, which is based on the “original” sized Ken doll body. This outfitconsists of a sleeveless plum colored shirt, a bright green twillpair of short overalls with the BMR1959 log on the front pocket, ablue puffer jacket with quilting, and a white plastic chain stylenecklace. The shirt closes in the back with Veclro and there’s anopening in the back of the necklace so it can fit on the doll. Theoveralls don’t have any opening and will have to slide up over thedoll’s hips. The necklace does fit Barbie, but it’s a bitoversized and the curve of it doesn’t fit her chest perfectly, soit fits, but only kind of.
Thisoutfit is in good condition. It has never been played with and wasstored in the box and recently taken out of the box. The shirt is ingood shape. It does have some excess threads at the side seams, inthe back where the Velcro is sewn on, and at the back bottom hem. Inseveral spots both at the hems where the fabrics are folded over analong some of the stitching itself the white underside of the fabricis visible through the plum color on top of the fabric. In a couplespots, mostly on the right side in the front there’s a couple smalldots where the color is lighter then the rest of the shirt. The shirtcollar is a little puckered on the right side. The bottom hem in thefront tends to want to flip up and be visible. It might need to betucked under when on the doll. The overalls look good. They have someexcess threads at the front of the top where the shoulder straps aresewn on as well as the leg holes from the inside seam. There is someheavy-handed stitching for both ends of the straps on the front andthe back as well as the sewing for the pocket in the front. In acouple places along seam lines you can see the white underside of thefabric through the green. At the start of the right front strap thereis a small hole in the fabric from where it was plastic tabbed to thejacket. It looks like it should ease out in time. The jacket looksgood. It may stain, the doll’s arms were wrapped in plastic. Thereare some loose threads at the front of the jacket at the top and thebottom. There’s also some loose threads at the armholes from theinside side seam. At the front of the jacket in the front the hem wasfolded under and you can see the inside hem and the lining fabric atthe bottom of the jacket. You can see a little bit of the lining fromthe front left at the collar. This jacket was plastic tabbed in thebox, a lot of times. There’s about six little holes going down thefront of the jacket from the plastic tabs. I was very carefulremoving the tabs, but this happened at the factory when they put thetabs in. They are very small, but you can see them. The necklacelooks good, it does have seam lines and mold injection spots, butthey will all have that.
