Available here is a Blank Wooden Kite Shield that has been left unpainted. This very large (yet maneuverable) shield measures about 47 inches in height and has the strongest wooden body you're going to find. It's made out of a 1/2 inch thick smooth-surface composite wood which is considerably stronger than plywood.
Two braces are attached to the back, as shown, allowing for easy attachment of leather straps or handles. The shield has also been completely sanded and is ready for battle or ready for you to paint with a design of your own! Would also make a great gift for that Renaissance-enthusiast you know!
(Please note: A sword is not included with this item).
