    For sale is a
    beautiful pair of Antique Sioux (Lakota/ Dakota) Beaded Legging Strips on Buffalo Hide from circa the 1870s-1880s.
    The strips are made of native tanned
    buffalo hide
    in good condition, decorated with small
    Venetian beads
    , in a typical Hunkpapa or Yanktonai design all
    sinew sewn
    in bead colors light blue, dark blue, corn yellow, rose-white-heart, medium green and some milky white.The strips seem to have never been attached to leggings, as there are no sewing holes.
    Minor loss of beads, please see the pictures for that.
    The strips measure each
    circa 32" x 2 1/2".
