Offered for sale is this unusual
Iroquois, circa 1902
antique Whimsy Box. These genuine antiques were most likely made for trade purposes because Iroquois Whimsies were very popular souvenirs in upper New York around Niagara Falls in the Victorian Era. They are very decorative with beautiful glass beads of white, gold, red and translucent.
This Whimsy is handmade and hand sewn. Beaded date sewn front and back. Double loop fringe on the bottom intact.  Backed with red linen type material. Measures 3" across. Normal age wear to the material background on the top side. Carry bead string needs replacement, easy fix, otherwise overall condition good.
