1890s PAIR OF NATIVE AMERICAN PLAINS CHIPPEWA INDIAN BEAD DECORATED ARM BANDS

Very Rare and original, ca1890’s Pair of Native American Northern Plains / Plains Chippewa / Ojibwa Indian Beaded Armbands. This outstanding Pair of Beaded Ojibwa Armbands each measure approx. 10 1/2" long (3 1/2” in diameter) by 1 1/8" wide and features a red, polished cotton lining.
Each Armband features a matching, loom beaded, repeating floral / geometric design using translucent red, chalk white, translucent green, and light green colors along with cut steel beads.
The Armbands offered here are unconditionally guaranteed original and of the period. They are not reproductions or modern recreations but original Plains Chippewa / Ojibwa Armbands crafted in the 4th quarter of the 19th century. The Beadwork comes with our “no questions asked” return privilege and our lifetime guarantee of authenticity. These rare and original, ca1890’s Plains Chippewa / Ojibwa Beaded Armbands are in very good condition. The beadwork is beautiful and the Armbands intact and sound. There is a small area of bead loss to the delicate border on one of the Armbands as can be seen in the scans below but overall the Armbands are well preserved and display nicely. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the form and condition of this wonderful pair of Chippewa / Ojibwa Armbands.
